The Fictional Slap List

Alas, even fictional characters could use a slap. (Like REALLY use a slap.)

I hereby give you over to a populous list of annoying fictional characters and many many gifs. Because that’s what I do.

1. Miss Crawford (Mansfield Park)

Oh. My. Gosh. Get away, Miss Crawford; for my sanity.

2. Mrs. Elton (Emma)

I would slap her if I could, but I’m too busy laughing at her.

3. Mr. Willoughby (Sense & Sensibility)

How dare you, sir. How dare you. You do not get away with breaking my precious Marianne’s heart like that. You do not.

4. Nita (from Allegiant)

Back off, Nita. BACK. OFF. If there was a reward for the most annoying character, I think she’d win.

5. Frodo Baggins

Ouch. Sorry. But really, can you just shut up every once in a while? I would be much oblidged. Mainly because I’m a Sam fan. ;) (But thanks for getting rid of the ring, buddy.)

6. Maven (Red Queen)

Creepy psychopath murderer coward King… Mavey in a nutshell. (Think Caesar in Gladiator…well, maybe not that sick…but still…) #weirdedout

On second thought, how about a punch instead?

7. The Stepsisters (Ella Enchanted)

These characters are no doubt lesser-known than others on this list, but they are certainly no less annoying. (Think Cinderella stepsisters—which they are—made about 10 times as mean. They rip your heart out the things they do to Ella.) You know what? Add their mom to the list, too.

What an awful family.

8. Edmund Bertram (Mansfield Park)

Only the most gentle, lovable slap. Because can you please, for my sanity, stop being so annoyingly in love with Miss Crawford?! I would be much oblidged. (And poor Fanny would be too, I dare say.)

9. Isabella & John Thorpe (Northanger Abbey)

The award for the world’s most annoying brother and sister goes toooooo…!!

The Thorpes!

Oh mercy me, will they every shut up? Spare me, oh spare me the endless rattle, false modesty, indelicacy, and presumption.

I entreat you, please.

Can you imagine? Mrs. Bennet stayed off the list! WHAT SORCERY IS THIS?!
